Mission Statement

“Loving God, loving our neighbors.”

Hearing assisted devices and Large Print Bulletins are available (just ask an usher).

Welcome To Our Visitors!

We are delighted you are here to worship with us today.  To help us make you feel at home, please sign the guest book on the table in the foyer of the church near the front door.  Please include your address and e-mail address so that we may send you some information about St. George's later in the week.  We invite you to join us for coffee, juice, and light refreshments in the Parish Hall after the service.    Adhesive name-tags are located on the table just outside the nave door.  The Parish Hall is located directly across the hallway from the church nave.  Restrooms and water fountain are to your left as you exit the church.

A Note For Visitors With Children

We welcome children at St. George's. During the 9:30 service we provide child care for primary children (k-3) in the First Step Room, just ask an usher. The children will be brought into the church at the Peace to join their families for Holy Communion. Following the service please gather with us for fellowship and coffee hour in the Parish Hall. Christian Education classes for adults, youth, and children will follow ending by 12:00. The primary class is located in the First Step Room, grades 4 and up meet in the Junior High room.  These classrooms are located in the Parish Hall.

A Note About Communion for our Guests

At St. George's we invite everyone from every denomination, including young children, to join us in the celebration of Jesus' Last Supper. If you are unfamiliar with Holy Communion, there are instructions in the bulletin. The ushers will invite you to come to the altar rail.  Please feel welcome to share in the Lord's Supper with us, or to come forward for a blessing.

CARDS FOR HEROES

As I've told you before this is an ongoing project. I continue to be amazed and gratified by the number of cards that continue to come in for this project. I just want to say thank you again and also let you know that I am now working on getting another package of cards to mail (I already have a large number from some of you). I will be making Christmas cards this time around and will be mailing my package around October 20th, so if any of you have cards that you wish to donate, including holiday cards, please put them in my mailbox in the parish hall. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me (Barbara Leary) at 672-7073. Thank you all for your help!

SOLDIERS' ANGELS NEED OUR HELP BLANKETS OF BELIEF

I've had some response to the article I put in the July Dragon's Scoop regarding making blankets to be sent to each and every one of our military personnel who will be in combat environment this holiday season. I will have on display in the parish hall one or two of the blankets that have already been completed together with instructions for that type of no sew blanket. I am also checking into a pattern for crocheting a blanket which, if I have it available, I will also display in the parish hall. Also, Jean Bowden and I will be meeting in the evening to work on blankets. We do not have a date set yet, but if you would be interested in joining us, please call me (Barbara Leary) as soon as possible at 672-7073. Thank you for your consideration of assisting in a wonderful project!
